In our time together I'll walk you through the process of creating your own ceremonial welcome which you'll do live on the call.

The Depth of a Ceremonial Welcome

A ceremonial welcome is much more than an introduction; its a relational act.

This is how many indigenous peoples all over the world welcome themselves to a space by revealing their essence and story in a much deeper way than we have been conditioned to do in the Western World.

You'll be able to use yours in ceremonies, conferences, council meetings, wisdom circles, workshops or any event anchored in meaning.

By speaking your ceremonial welcome, you forge a deeper intimacy with your audience, establish kinship and anchor a culture of 'power with' rather than 'power over'.

Each ceremonial welcome is unique. In this class, you'll craft a brief version that you can grow over the years ahead. Some participants will have the opportunity to share with the group, while others may choose to read it privately.

What Lies Ahead

To make the most of our 2 hours, I will provide a foundational template to get you started.

Crafting your ceremonial welcome is not just an act—it's the beginning of a journey of coming into alignment with the core integrities that every leader must embrace to move in resonance with the Earth. These integrities remain rare in the West.

I am here in advocacy for a deep form of leadership, a deeper way of meeting each other, and if you feel the call it would be an honour to pass on these rememberings that have been the result of much blood, sweat, and tears.

Please be aware that writing your ceremonial welcome can initiate you into a multi-year journey of deepening your connection with your ancestors, becoming custodian of your people's stories, and coming into intimate relation with the land.

Embedded in this class is a prayer for a new kind of leader, a new generation of embodied elders who move with grace, walk with the ancestors, and resonate deeply with the Earth.
