There was a time not so long ago when there was a taboo of sorts around inner child work, but over the last 20 years, it has slowly become an important foundation of the therapeutic and developmental journey of all who find their way into the realms of personal and spiritual development or therapeutic journeying.

Likewise, our human family is now opening more and more to ancestral healing, reconciling with their deep past and coming to understand how their genetics and auric ancestry lies at the very core of their personhood.

While Inner Child Work brings us towards our childhood, the being we came into the world as and the early influences that shaped and contorted our identity, and ancestral healing continues this journey beyond our birth and into the deep past, Inner Elder work takes us somewhere else entirely.

Just as Inner Child work is a quantum journey into the living past, Inner Elder Work is a shamanic journey into the living future. It brings us into contact with what lies ahead and who we are ‘becoming’. This developmental work draws us into intimacy with the later years of our life, with the being that we are growing into, with the grounded experience, rich wisdom and great love that grows in us over a full lifetime.

As we build our relationship with our Inner Elder we begin to build our connection with what is truly most important, with what is most essential, with what ACTUALLY sustains, with the generations still to come and the deeper calling of our lives.

Though this work our Inner Elder becomes an important source of guidance and support as we journey through the wild seas of a human life coming ever closer to ourselves.

Slowly, over seasons, we integrate into our Inner Elder, we refine how we move through the world, we step deeper into our sacred roles without the web of creation, and we become more and more human.
